Hello Food Policy Advocates,
Hope your congregation, office, or organization plans to be represented at the planning for this year's CROP WALK. This Recruiter's Orientation THIS SUNDAY, 8/21 will provide a representative from your congregation or organization with the 'how to' participate with our community in CROP WALK 2005 on October 16, 2:30 pm beginning at the Westside Church of God.
The Fresno Metro Ministry Hunger & Nutrition Project urges all of our partners to participate as a group in this way to raise awareness and community funds to eliminate hunger. 25% of funds raised stay locally and support the Community Food Bank efforts to get healthy food to local families.
See you there! Directions below.

Hi Croppers!
Here are some directions to help you find Westside Church of God. Hope to see you all this Sunday, August 21 at 3:00pm!!!
Diana Dean
Directions to Westside Church of God, for people coming south through Fresno:
If you are coming south on Highway (freeway) 41,
Take 180 West,
Exit 180 to get on 99 South (for Bakersfield),
Take the Fresno Street exit (and after you exit, get in the right lane on the access street),
Turn right on Fresno Street, and stay on that street as you cross Kearney Boulevard and continue for several more blocks,
When Fresno Street comes to an end, go right on California Avenue,
Stay on California Avenue past Thorne, Fruit, Tielman, Channing, and West.
The church is on the right, one half block past West Avenue, at 1422 W. California Avenue.
If you are coming south on Highway 99,
Ignore the first few steps listed above, take the Fresno Street exit, and follow the other directions.
If you are coming north on Highway 99,
Take the Fresno Street exit, follow Fresno Street away from downtown, and follow the other directions.
It will be great to see you all on Sunday!
My cell phone number is 355-2314.
Blessings,
Al

Fresno Metro Ministry has been involved in community solutions to hunger issues over the last 30 years, primarily in response to hunger crisis: the Big Freezes of 1990 and 1998, the need for a Community Food Bank with adequate freezer space, and when issues of health and nutrition have became a focus of the community because of entrenched poverty.
