The Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program - CCROPP
CCROPP is dedicated to creating environments that support healthy eating and active living. Unfortunately, too many people throughout Fresno can't easily buy healthy food while many neighborhoods are designed in ways that make it difficult and unsafe to be active outdoors.Fresno County faces alarming rates of obesity among all ages, leading to equally alarming rates of childhood and adult diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and other obesity-related illnesses. More than one-third of our children and more than 63% of adults in Fresno County are obese.
The Program is committed to addressing this health issue through place-based policy changes that support healthy eating and active living throughout the Valley.
