For more than 20 years, Fresno Metro Ministry has produced this useful guide of nearly 350 local and regional social service organizations, city, county and state agencies and CBOs that provide needed supportive services for many of our community members. Annually, we distribute 4,000 Making Connections to individuals and organizations that refer to it daily, as they connect those they serve with resources, often as basic as food, shelter, and clothing. This year, with funding from Wells Fargo, we added a Drought Relief Assistance section!

Happy Holidays from Fresno Metro Ministry Board and Staff!

This has been an eventful year for all of us with a new Executive Director, new vision-mission and new program strategies to increase the environmental, social and economic health of our city and region. Metro has committed to building diverse partnerships for community well-being through its three new primary program areas: Cross-Sector Community Leadership and Innovation; Community Food Systems and Resilient Communities. We strongly believe these new programs are effective and integrated pathways for achieving our updated mission-vision of 'Learning, Connecting and Engaging to Achieve Healthy People and Healthy Places in Fresno and across the San Joaquin Valley.'

After four years of intense community engagement and conversation, the City of Fresno has brought forward the final draft of the General Plan.

After extensively reviewing the final draft, Metro is supporting this Plan. We believe that it is a good plan with a strong vision and logic for revitalizing established neighborhoods and districts, and for generating new investment and economic activity for our city. We believe that now is the time to give all who care about Fresno the permission to begin implementing the vision, goals, and policies of the 2035 General Plan. We look forward to building partnerships with neighborhood associations, businesses, institutions, and resident leaders, and working together to implement the plan.
